July 10th, 2011:

Dear friends-

I would like to thank all of you who sent emails, cards, and letters wishing me speedy recovery from my May 28 boating accident. I AM on the right road, but it is taking time. I'm walking, slowly and with a cane, driving to physical therapy, playing piano...but I don't feel I'll be ready to play my July gigs, or even the ones in August. You can only imagine how much I will miss playing those dates.

So now I'm aiming for the three Labor Day weekend gigs, and the rest of the fall dates. I also fully intend to be at Latitude 18 in St Thomas next winter.

Thanks again, folks, and I sure hope to be fiddling for you again before too long!

Ain't it great to be alive!

Folks, the Fiddler had a boating accident Saturday, the 27th of May in Fall River, MA. He was helicoptered to the hospital in Providence, RI, where he spent 9 days. He's now in physical therapy in St. Johnsville, NY.  Despite his injuries, he expects a full recovery.  Check the schedule for cancelled gigs. Updates will be forthcoming.
